Yay! When my computer was in for service I was really bored out of my mind, but fortunately it inspired some creativity, which resulted in the two songs that I’ve just unloaded on the world.
They’re titled Ode to DOOM and Rockstar and you can get them on the website dedicated to my music - http://akm.lillesvin.net and for a while yet you can get them on http://lillesvin.net/music/. And while we’re at the music-websites stuff… I just hacked up a couple of temporary sites for the other two projects I’m involved with, Migato Estalo Co. and Laxness 101 - go straight there, download all the songs and enjoy them. (It’s not an offer, it’s an order!) Also I’d like to get some feedback on them - according to die steffie there’s a problem with the Migato Estalo Co.-site in IE, but since I don’t have an IE around it’s kinda hard for me to fix, so any feedback will be most appreciated.
… to let you all know that I passed the dreaded Grammatical Analysis exam!
And I didn’t just pass it, I actually got an ok mark for it. On a (silly) scale looking like this: 03, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 where 5 and below is failed and 6 and above is passed, I got an 8, which is average.
Hooray! I’m average at something I used to suck at! :-)
Yes, baby! I’m back - and my ThinkPad seems fixed now. At least I can use OpenGL again, so I’ve actually just been playing UFO: Alien Invasion since I got the laptop back; man, that IS a nice game. If you’ve ever played UFO: Enemy Unknown or the like (and, of course, enjoyed it) back in the old days, then you’ll definitely love this game. But apart from that, it’s nice being back online again and being able to do stuff like watching movies and recording music. (There are a couple of new songs on the way, so watch out!) I’ve spent the time since I got offline being dangerously close to death by boredom…
Anyways, Josefsen dropped by last night for a cup (read: several cups) of coffee and a bunch of cigarettes. Really great seeing him again! (Josefsen, we hang out too little and too seldom!) And what’s also nice, is that he brought a batch of old hard drives, so now I can finally get the server fixed up with something bigger than the silly 7 GiB of total hard drive space. Much love to Josefsen for donating those hard drives to Lillesvin. It’s greatly appreciated!
My precious (aka. my ThinkPad) is in for service because the gfx card kept overheating or something and locked up the entire computer when doing so. So I called IBM support and they sent out someone to pick it up and they’ll deliver it back to me as soon as it’s fixed. :-) Boy, am I glad I got an IBM instead of some crappy Medion or something. Also, apparently the warranty is valid for 3 years with ThinkPads whereas it’s only 2 years for most other products here in .dk - not bad at all.
Though, I’m still looking forward to getting it back. They picked it up yesterday and already I’m bored out of my mind. (Sitting at the university right now, but it’s a bit far to travel just to get to a computer and some internet.)
Also there are some news about the grammar exam. The censor has disappeared along with the results!?! They’ve found another one to grade the exam papers, but that won’t be done before monday, so the long wait just became a little longer. The results were originally due the 1st of July…
