2 Songs - Out Now! 2 Websites - Up Now!

Yay! When my computer was in for service I was really bored out of my mind, but fortunately it inspired some creativity, which resulted in the two songs that I’ve just unloaded on the world.

They’re titled Ode to DOOM and Rockstar and you can get them on the website dedicated to my music - http://akm.lillesvin.net and for a while yet you can get them on http://lillesvin.net/music/. And while we’re at the music-websites stuff… I just hacked up a couple of temporary sites for the other two projects I’m involved with, Migato Estalo Co. and Laxness 101 - go straight there, download all the songs and enjoy them. (It’s not an offer, it’s an order!) Also I’d like to get some feedback on them - according to die steffie there’s a problem with the Migato Estalo Co.-site in IE, but since I don’t have an IE around it’s kinda hard for me to fix, so any feedback will be most appreciated.

Hehe, it sounds like you sing “only pop stars are doing pop tarts”. Anyways, nice new two tracks. I can feel the flow of anti-folk in you bedroom. Keep it comeing.

    Allso: What’s the photo?

Close, I actually sing: “all the pop stars are doing pop tarts”… And thanks. :)
The picture is just Aarhus right outside my door. Nothing fancy really.

You can use http://browsershots.org/. Its not as interactive as running IE yourself, but it works. Also, Wine can run IE just fine these days, you might want to try that too maybe.

    Neat tracks.

What’s the “strange” effect on Ode to DOOM, it sounds a bit like an old casette tape that got jamed.. But I bet it’s not :-)

Well, actually I’ve done no processing on neither Ode to DOOM or Rockstar - other than adjust the levels of the individual tracks of course. It’s probably the bad mic (a cheap Philips I bought for 100 DKK (~ $17) in a supermarket) I used for Ode to DOOM that’s doing an odd job.
But I used it because I wanted that tape-ish sound, so “mission accomplished”, I guess. :)

Actually, I’ve just gotten my hands on an old Philips D6280 tape deck (http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/d/d6280/d6280_dfu_eng.pdf), so now you can actually expect some authentic tape sounds. :) (Nah, probably not - I just plan on using it for recording ideas and lyrics quickly before I forget them.)
