Gaming Hard

So I bought two USB joypads for my laptop so I can really game with zsnes. Playing Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on a keyboard simply isn’t the same thing… Setting it up was about as easy at could be thanks to hotplug and it’s running like a dream. Mmm… Linux…

Ultimate Mortal Kombat III - Title Screen Counter Strike/Half Life and other games may be great and nicely made, but nothing beats a good old-fashioned two-player game that doesn’t require two computers. I mean, there’s just something incredibly great about two people sitting next to each other, looking at the same screen, playing the same game on the same machine… Something that the heavy-graphics, networking games just can’t deliver. It might just be me swimming in a sea of nostalgia, but I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed gaming more in my entire life.

Now, if I could only get xmame working, then I could play Bubble Bobble and Speed Ball. (If anyone is experienced with xmame please drop me a mail — it’d be most appreciated.)

Yeah, I still have to try that. (I haven’t traveled by train since I got the joypads.)

But gaming is great! Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past, Bubble Bobble, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Super Mario 2, Space Invaders etc… I love these games! :-)
